Tyre check as you fuel

A COMPANY is offering fleets that buy and store their own fuel supplies with a system that allows drivers to check their tyre pressure while they fill up.

MIS Fuel Monitoring says maintaining correct tyre pressures is important not only for fuel efficiency but also for safety and to prevent wear and damage.

'Checking actual pressures is not always practical especially where access to an airline is restricted,' the company said. It says one solution it offers is to install an airline into the fuel dispenser used by fleets at a depot. Its combined fuel and air dispenser incorporates a display and pre-set control which will inflate or reduce pressure to meet the correct guidelines.
