DAIHATSU claims a 'tuning triumph' has allowed the Rally 2 and 4 versions of its Sirion supermini to have virtually identical fuel economy to the standard 1.3-litre models.

And its adds that with CO2 emissions of 144 g/km for the Rally 2 and 149.8 g/km for Rally 4, both cars fall into the lowest 15% benefit-in-kind tax band for company car users.

The cars have an on-the-road price of £9,995 and £10,995 respectively and first deliveries are due late this month.
