VOLKSWAGEN'S Beetle Cabriolet will go on sale in the UK in May priced from £15,395 on the road for the 1.6-litre car.

However, a 1.4-litre version will joining the range later in the year, bringing the entry price down, while a 99bhp 1.9TDI will also be offered.

The range-topping car from launch will be a 113bhp 2.0- litre petrol model, with a choice of five-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmissions, priced at £17,515 and £18,945 respectively. All models will have an electro-hydraulic roof with integrated glass rear window, roll-over protection, ABS, electronic stabilisation programme, four airbags, electric windows and mirrors, rain sensing wipers and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror.
