NATIONAL Car Rental has produced an email solution so fleet managers can send details of 14 day-plus rentals straight to the Motor Insurance Database.

As part of the EU Fourth Motor Insurance Directive, fleets have to notify the database of vehicles rented for more than 14 days. Neil McCrossan, vice-president sales and marketing for NCR, said: 'We knew this legislation could have a huge impact on our customers so we decided to do something about it. We therefore devised a way for our customers to easily access the information they require and pass in on in order to comply with the directive.'
