SUBARU has unveiled three new concept cars at this week's Tokyo Motor Show, giving clues to future models from the company.

Styled by ex-Alfa Romeo designer Andreas Zapatinas, there is an all-wheel drive two-seater roadster called the B9 Scrambler with a petrol-electric hybrid engine and offering off-road ability with an adjustable ride height. The R1e is a compact 2+2 city car which uses a re-chargeable electric power unit, while the R2 is a four-seat city car with a supercharged four-cylinder engine and seven-speed transmission.
