  • NISSAN has appointed James Douglas as national sales operations manager. He has been with the company since 1998 and held various roles including, most recently, Micra brand manager.

  • THALES Telematics has appointed Jean-Louis Moraud as its new chief executive officer. He was previously managing director of the Energy, Transport and Telecoms divisions of Thales Information Systems. He was also president of Texen and commercial director of Thales Avionics.

  • DON Brereton is to succeed Noel Muddiman as a director with Motability, the charity that provides cars and powered wheelchairs to disabled people. Brereton currently holds the post of director of The Disabilities and Carers Group in the Department for Work and Pensions.

  • AS part of AUDI's restructuring of its Operations Department Emma Bristow has been appointed Audi corporate business centre manager. Adrian Short is promoted from his role as brand manager to head of corporate sales and is assisted by established team members Paul Hopson, national sales manager and David Snowdon, coporate development manager.

  • IAIN Carmichael becomes head of operations for SEAT UK. He has been with the Volkswagen Group for seven years. Previous roles include vehicle rental manager for Swan National and Hertz and area rental manager for Peugeot. Carmichael's most recent role within the group was SEAT brand manager for Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England.

  • UNIVERSAL Salvage, the vehicle services company, has appointed Alison Carey as sales manager. With more than 10 years' experience in the industry Carey will be closely involved in the launch of new services including Total Loss Management and Engineering Services.

  • KEN Lee has been appointed as Inchcape's new marketing director. He was formerly group marketing director with the RAC and is now reuinted with Graeme Potts, managing director UK and Europe. Potts was previously with Lee at the RAC as group managing director.

  • PUBLISHING director, Martin Keighley has left CAP to set up his own automotive consultancy. He was with CAP for 17 years and was instrumental in the development and launch of Monitor future residual values, CAP for Windows and CAP for Palm Pilot.
