MERCEDES-Benz has given the go-ahead for a production version of its Vision CLS four-door coupe concept (pictured), shown at September's Frankfurt Motor Show.

The new CLS-class will be equipped with leading-edge safety with adaptive front airbags, window and side airbags, as well as seatbelt pre-tensioners and force limiters for all seats.

Other features include air suspension, seven-speed automatic transmission, brake-by-wire, bi-xenon lights with 'active' cornering lights.
