TOYOTA has re-vamped its 2004 Hiace range to include a host of new safety features, including ABS brakes and driver's airbag as standard.

Six new models have been introduced, including a new entry-level 300 SE and a premium GS-Xtra, on sale from next week.

Toyota is keeping its 2.5-litre D-4D common rail turbodiesel engines but has announced plans to scrap the 2.7-litre petrol engine. Additional new models include a 280 and 300 GS with tailgate and 102bhp engine.

The Hiace 88bhp 280D S starts at £14,562 on the road, climbing to £19,250 for the 102bhp 300 GS-Xtra.
