VOLKSWAGEN has updated the Passat for 2004 with a high-specification Highline model sitting between SE and Sport models.

Prices for the Highline model will start at £16,562 on- the-road for the 2.0-litre saloon and rise to £20,182 for the 2.0 TDI 130 estate.

Standard equipment includes full leather upholstery, new 15-inch alloy wheels, a rear parking sensor, heated front seats and heated windscreen washer jets, in addition to the SE items like climate control, a CD autochanger and six airbags.

From 2004, all new Passats will have the side indicators housed in the door mirrors. The first cars will arrive in the UK next month.
