The range will start with the 125bhp 1.8 S, priced at £16,113 on-the-road, with diesel models starting at £17,388 for the 136bhp 2.0D.
Other models available at launch will include a 170bhp 2.4i costing from £18,613 and a 220bhp T5 using a turbocharged 2.5-litre engine, priced from £23,673.
All models will have SIPS side impact protection, WHIPS anti-whiplash seats, electronic climate control, alloy wheels, a CD player, electric windows all-round and electric door mirrors.
SE models have leather seats, a CD autochanger, cruise control, steering wheel audio controls and a trip computer. Option packs include the winter pack for £350, convenience pack (S only) for £600 and family pack for £300.
A Sport featuring larger alloy wheels and bodystyling kit model will follow later in 2004, as will the V50 estate version.
