THE Countryside Agency is trialling 11 Citroen C3s as pool cars for a year, replacing the use of short-term rental cars or staff using their own vehicles.

The agency, which works to improve the quality of life for people living in the countryside, will use C3 1.4 HDis and a Xsara Picasso 2.0 HDi. They will be based at eight offices around the country.
Countryside Agency contracts manager, James Grierson, said: 'At the heart of our pool car strategy were three key conditions which the C3 met. The cars had to have low emissions, provide value for money with low cost of operation and be suitable for our purpose, with optimum levels of safety and comfort.'
The cars are being operated on 12-month/21,000 mile contract with maintenance through Activa Contracts.
