COMMERCIAL radio group Capital Radio has tuned into the Jeep Cherokee. The group has bought 10 of the vehicles to replace an existing fleet of four-wheel drive cars at several city-based stations across the UK.

With a retail value of almost £180,000, the Jeep Cherokees, known as Roadrunners, will be used as support vehicles at various events.

Capital FM Network marketing operations director Penny Williams said: 'I am delighted to take delivery of these vehicles. They will be used on a daily basis to interact with our listeners by visiting events in the community and bring our presenters out of the studio.

'They will enhance our image and status and build a closer relationship with our audience.'
