WILTSHIRE Police has chosen a Lexus GS430 for high-mileage motorway work following a two-week evaluation.

The Lexus has been chosen mainly for patrols along the M4 and is expected to have a service life of about 150,000 miles in three years. The GS430 is powered by a 282bhp 4.3-litre V8, with a 0-62mph time of 6.3 seconds and a top speed limited to 155mph.
