MITSUBISHI has launched a factory-approved LPG conversion for the Shogun Sport which qualifies for a 100% discount in the London congestion charging zone.

Based on the 3.0-litre V6 Shogun Sport, the car has a 90-litre LPG tank which costs about £35 to fill, based on current forecourt prices. The same volume of unleaded would cost about £69. Customers will pay about £950 for the cost of conversion, plus VAT, if they gain a PowerShift grant beforehand, as the system allows for a 60% discount. Prices for the Shogun Sport petrol range start at £21,995 on- the-road.
