Its Securicor Vehicle Management (SVM) business will be split into two parts with the company car fleet, of 1,600 vehicles sold to contract hire and fleet management company Fleetlease and its commercial vehicle leasing business, formerly known as Securicor Rentmaster, sold to Prohire. The firm said the sale was part of a move to streamline its business and concentrate on its core activities.
David Barlow, managing director of Staffordshire-based commercial vehicle leasing and support services company Prohire: 'The SVM acquisition forms a key part of our current strategy and will enable Prohire to further develop its unique quality-orientated service and make further inward investment to achieve optimum growth and brand awareness.'
