CROYDON-based water heating specialist HWCH has splashed out on five new Ford Transit Connect vans in an order worth about £40,000.

Company executives made their choice after in-depth research into the market for light commercials. The vehicles were supplied by Redhill-based dealership Lifestyle Ford.

HWCH co-director Jeremy Davies said: 'Our first priority was to source reliable, cost effective maintenance & repair vehicles for HWCH's team of engineers. These vans will have a hard working life and probably cover in excess of 100,000 miles during their time with us.

'Being a relatively young company less than one year old, we wanted a stylish, fresh image and the Transit Connect certainly fits the bill.'

The company, which specialises in installing and maintaining domestic and commercial hot water and central heating installations, decided on a 3D water-effect paintwork design for its vans – complete with a rubber duck logo.
