BMW launches email and internet access for 7-series

EMAIL and internet access is now available as an option on the new BMW 7-series. Business users will also be able to access email accounts, address book, news and business information from a unit inside the vehicle.

Although it is targeted at business users, the online system can also link to theatre guides, restaurants, cinemas and weather forecasts.

Jim O'Donnell, managing director at BMW GB, said: 'The launch of BMW Online means buyers now have the option of staying in touch whenever they are using their cars.'

To use the system, drivers will need an in-car telephone and GPS navigation system, costing £450, which includes a year's subscription.
