• CHRIS Birch has been appointed head of vehicle procurement at Arval PHH. He has been with the company for 13 years and has been promoted from his recent position of general manager of manufacturing relationships. In the past three years Birch has developed and maintained strategic relationships with manufacturers and customers.

  • DUTTON Forshaw has appointed Steve Grundy as dealer principal. He has been with the LDV dealerships for 17 years and began his career in the regional accounts department. Grundy oversees a team of 52 staff and takes responsibility for management and control of all LDV sales for the dealership.

  • RICHARD Mackay, managing director of Inchcape's Ferrari and Maserati business in the UK, Belgium and the Middle East, has announced his retirement and Robert Hazelwood has taken up the post of managing director of the Maranello Group. Mackay does not leave the company until September and assumes the role of non-executive chairman of the group in an advisory capacity. Paul Wallwork, formerly Inchcape UK finance director, becomes commerical director in a newly created role. A number of UK retail directors now report to managing director, Graeme Potts.

  • EDDIE Cross has been appointed engineering manager with The London Borough of Redbridge transport services. He was previously senior business consultant for DRIVE Software Solutions and transport manager for Essex Police. In his new role Cross takes responsibility for fleet procurement and maintenance through the engineering unit.

  • ALAN Nash has been promoted to the role of franchise manager with LDV dealership Ford and Slater based at Norwich. Nash has been a van sales specialist with the company for the past three years and now takes over management and control of vehicle sales. He reports to dealer principal, Keith Spurway.

  • THE National Tyre Distributors Association (NTDA) has appointed Alan Revie as vice-chairman. He is currently chief executive with National Tyres and Autocare. At its AGM the association reappointed Martin Rowland, managing director with Tyrefair, as chairman and John Thurston, chairman of the Watts Group, as honorary treasurer.

  • ANDY McCrae has been appointed manufacturing director of Bosal UK. He was formerly general manager for Bosal Industrial Division. He has spent more than 15 years in manufacturing and extensive experience in the automotive sector. He has held various roles with Bosal, starting as project manager then engineering manager and was in his last role for a year.
