• PAUL Harrell is to oversee the fleet sales team at AA Tyre Fit after being appointed as the group's head of sales. Harrell has almost 25 years' experience in the industry, including 17 years as sales and marketing director at National Tyres and seven years as managing director at MotorWay Tyre and Autocentres. As part of his new role, Harrell will supervise the development of the group's national sales team.

  • BLACKBURN-based MNH Vehicle Contracts has appointed Matt Potts as its area sales manager, responsible for covering the north of England. Potts will be based in Newcastle and has joined MNH from national contract hire and leasing group Calleva, previously working as regional group fleet manager for C D Bramall.

  • CONTRACT hire and software provider cfc solutions has added three new recruits to its fleet telesales team. Tracey Hannon, Sarb Dhindsa and Leanne Watson will be responsible for generating new business for cfc's Fleet Outlook product. Hannon has direct finance and credit sales experience with Dhindsa from a security and safety sales background. Watson comes from a promotions background and will also work on leads and appointments for the fleet field sales team.

  • NATIONAL Fleet has appointed Martin Towers as its new commercial director in charge of the mobile tyre fitting division. Towers, formerly of Kwik-Fit Fleet, Tyreserve and the AA, will report to National Fleet's managing director Kevin Parker. Towers will be responsible for the regional sales managers alongside promoting the mobile tyre fitting service to the fleet market.

  • NATIONAL Car Rental has made two new appointments. Justin Shaw is new regional director for the south west and Kevin Rand is to become area manager for Heathrow. Shaw formerly worked as operations director for Budget. He will be responsible for 28 locations across the National network. Rand will report to Shaw.

  • DAVID Haines has been appointed as Nationwide Building Society's fleet services, commercial manager. His role will involve running the group's new online quotation system and monitoring customer service levels for the car ownership scheme. Haines formerly worked for the Dick Lovett Group.

  • REPAIR and maintenance group Fraikin has appointed Nick Blakeley as general manager over its fleet operations. Blakeley will be responsible for managing the company's Leeds office, overseeing the maintenance and repair of 500 vans and trucks. Blakeley will report to Fraikin's chairman and managing director John Ball.
