THE Authorised and Independent Repairers Organisation (AIRO) has been inundated with requests from independent garages wishing to join the body as the block exemption deadline looms.

Paul Clarke, joint founder of AIRO and managing director of Autoconnect, AIRO's parent company, said: 'The huge number of enquiries we have had in just a few days shows that the industry has sat up and taken notice, and displays that there is a definite demand for AIRO's services.'
