LDV makes the news

GRIMSBY-based newspaper distribution firm Van About Town has invested in its fleet operation with a major new order for £500,000-worth of LDV vans.

The firm is taking on 16 Pilot and 12 Convoy vans to deliver newspapers for titles within the Northcliffe Newspaper Group, including the Hull Daily Mail, Grimsby Telegraph and Scunthorpe Telegraph.

David McDaid, Van About Town's managing director, said: 'We deliver to more than 1,200 outlets daily, hence we rely on our vehicles to be sturdy and cost-effective. The Pilot vans are a good size and are easy to manoeuvre closer to delivery points.'
