• JOANNA Johnson has been appointed as the new fleet manager, dedicated to Volkswagen and Audi's fleet requirements, for QEK Global Solutions. She brings experience in marketing, vehicle launch and hospitality management, having worked for the Subaru world rally team, Mitsubishi and on the Holland & Holland Range Rover launch.

  • CYBIT, the telematics and fleet management company, has formed an agreement with Signature Industries as part of its expansion plans in the UK. Signature's communications division will target the public sector in Scotland with Cybit's Fleetstar-Online software, satellite navigation and traffic information systems.

  • LEASEDRIVE, the privately-owned vehicle management group, has established a separate fleet management division headed up by Ivor Johnson. As general manager of the new division, Johnson brings extensive experience in the automotive sector. Most recently he was managing director of Fleet Logistics, the fleet management company he set up in 1997 with Moores Rowland. Before that he worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceuticals, first as UK fleet manager then as European fleet manager.

  • JOSE Maria Alapont has been appointed chief executive officer of the Iveco Group. His appointment takes effect from October 1, when he takes over from Michel de Lambert. Alapont moves to Iveco from Delphi Corporation, where he was president of international operations and vice- president sales and marketing.

  • MARK Keeping has been appointed by Vehicle Remarketing Solutions as its new sales support manager. He brings all-round experience in the car industry following two years at Motability Operations and four years in the remarketing industry.

  • MARTIN Hendricks joins EurotaxGlass's International as chief operating officer. He takes responsibility for managing and developing the company's pan-European organisation over 18 countries. Hendricks was previously European director and general manager with TRW Automotive in Germany.
