A SHEFFIELD-based training provider has introduced Kwik-Fit Fleet's Business Drive Card across its fleet of 176 vehicles in a bid to improve efficiency and reduce administration costs.

The Business Drive Card covers fuel, tyres, exhausts, windscreen repair, servicing, vehicle breakdown and car hire on a single card. It will replace NTP Group's method of using several cards.

Hannah Clerehugh, fleet manager at NTP Group, which provides workforce development training for industry, commerce and the public sector, said: 'Operating such a policy was an administrative headache both for our company car drivers and myself. It therefore seemed common sense to introduce a single card which company car drivers could use for all their motoring requirements.'

The Business Drive Card is accepted at 24,000 UK outlets and can be used by both small and large fleets. Fleets are also able to produce data from the card including fuel consumption figures, fuel outlets used and tyre wear.

Mike Wise, sales director at Kwik-Fit Fleet, said: 'It can be a nightmare for fleet managers and company accounts departments to keep tabs on drivers' expenses and numerous invoices. With receipts, invoices and card accounts from a range of different operators, administration can take up valuable time, and mistakes can easily occur.

'Companies can keep a close eye on exactly how much money is being spent on the fleet, on what and where. The Business Drive Card also eliminates any credit card charges or the need for cash floats.'
