RENAULT and Vauxhall have announced details of their revised Master and Movano vans.

Vauxhall's Movano goes on sale in November and gets three new common rail turbo-diesel engines: 1.9, 2.5 and 3.0-litre, an improved chassis with latest generation ABS and electronic brakeforce distribution, redesigned seats and extra storage compartments.

Service intervals have been extended and a six-speed manual transmission is also available.

Pricing has yet to be announced and the van will be unveiled at the RAI European Road Transport Show in Amsterdam. Renault's Master features a new exterior and interior, new engines and enhanced performance.

The models on offer are 1.9 dCi 80bhp, 2.5 dCi 100bhp, 2.5 dCi 120bhp and 3.0 dCi 140 bhp diesel engines.

Its new interior includes a dash-mounted gearshift which the company said provides easy cross cab access.

Nissan has also revised its Master/Movano equivalent, which is called the Interstar. The new van will be shown for the first time at next month's Amsterdam show.
