FORD is expected to launch a Euro IV-compliant diesel Mondeo by the end of this year.

The model, which will use the 130bhp 2.0 TDCi engine and six-speed gearbox, should cost about £300 more than the non-Euro IV model. Carbon dioxide figures have yet to be revealed, but meeting the benchmark emissions standard means a driver does not pay a 3% company car tax supplement for having a diesel car.
