COMMUNICATIONS group Attendo Systems is to take on 55 new Nissan Primeras under a two-year solus deal with the manufacturer.

The new fleet will include a range of 1.8 SVE five-door Primeras for Attendo's sales and management staff and 1.8 S estates for the group's service engineers.

An Attendo spokesman said: 'We currently have a mix of manufacturers vehicles on our fleet and wanted to opt for one manufacturer for a smart, uniform image. We had used the earlier model Primera and found it to be reliable. The new Primera offers the exact combination of specification, image, performance and value-for-money we require.'

Nissan also announced this week that it would be increasing the specification on its revised Interstar van range. All models have been upgraded with standard alarm and driver's airbag on the entry-level Interstar 1.0 dCi E. All SE models now include ABS brakes, a CD player and electric windows.
