No escape

FLEET drivers caught speeding on the continent will be traced here in the UK following a new agreement with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) and international authorities.

The DVLA has agreed to allow continental courts to access its database.

Prior to the agreement, drivers were only issued with on-the-spot fines. Under the new arrangement, those caught breaking international laws could face penalty points or driving bans.
