JON Goodman is to succeed Tod Evans as the boss of PSA Peugeot Citroen's London headquarters.

He will take control of Peugeot Citroen Automobiles UK from January 1.

In his position as director for corporate communications and external relations, Goodman will be responsible for promoting the group’s activities to industry, government and associated agencies and to the media. This will build on the activities that were within the portfolio of responsibilities held by Tod Evans, who recently announced that he was stepping down. He took up the role in April 2003.

Goodman has worked for the PSA Peugeot Citroen Group for 18 years, joining as a graduate trainee in 1986. Following assignments in the UK sales operations of Peugeot Motor Company, he transferred to the group headquarters in Paris in 1997 and held two positions; initially in product development of the Peugeot light commercial vehicle range and subsequently representing the Peugeot brand in the new central European markets.

His most recent position was Peugeot marketing director.

Goodman said: 'Having worked most of my life in a direct commercial environment, I am looking forward to representing the group’s interests in the UK. It will be a very new, exciting and challenging role.'
