THE latest appointments in the fleet industry.

  • PHIL Cripps has been appointed special vehicle operations manager following a restructure of the fleet team at Nissan. Cripps has been at Nissan since 1991, holding several positions in aftersales, dealer support and most recently as fleet technical support manager. In his new role, he will be responsible for vehicle conversions. As part of the restructure, Theresa Wynn, major accounts manager, has had her role extended.

  • MUNICIPAL Hire Services (MHS) has announced two new appointments to its management team. Nicholas Wilson has been promoted to finance director and Mandy Brown becomes sales director. Wilson has worked in MHS’s finance team for the past two years, formerly as financial controller. Brown has held several senior sales management positions at MHS and will be responsible for planning, controlling and directing the contract hire, hire and field sales operations in her new role.

  • EUROP Assistance has appointed Charles Dunwell as UK and Ireland car manufacturer sales manager. He brings several years’ experience, including a role at Rover, where he was responsible for the planning of the Rover 400 estate. He also brings experience gained in a role as a key account manager. At Europ Assistance, Dunwell will be responsible for increasing the group’s presence in the UK car manufacturer sector.

  • CHARLES Hewson has joined telematics group Masternaut as operations director responsible for daily operations, building alliances and implementing Masternaut technology for large-scale groups. Hewson joins from IBM, where he headed major IT and corporate transformation projects. Prior to IBM, Hewson held roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Yorkshire Water.

  • FLEET software group cfc solutions has made two new marketing appointments. Elie Richards joins as marketing executive and Matt Baxter as e-media designer. Richards has worked in several sales and marketing roles and her last role was marketing manager for an oil service company. Baxter joins from the e-business intranet and marketing department at IBM.

  • CONTRACT hire and leasing group Prohire has appointed Dennis Potter as non-executive director responsible for quality and training. Potter will oversee the training and quality management programmes and brings several years’ experience gained in blue chip companies in industries including construction, pharmaceuticals and automotive.
