Hitachi launches flexible van rental scheme

Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions executives say the new product, called Flexirent, allows companies to have the number of vehicles they require for as long as they are needed without being locked into traditional three or four-year contracts. Commercial vehicle service general manager Jon Lawes said: ‘It is an ideal product for companies which have to carry out contract work because it means they can rent the number of commercial vehicles they need over the period they need them.

‘The product is aimed at organisations who require flexibility in the size and mix of commercial vehicles they have on their fleet. It means vehicles won’t be under-tilised and companies won’t have to deal with any early termination charges which they would normally face if they were locked into a typical contract.’

It is available for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes with no mileage constraints.
