OPEL will unveil a new small car concept at the Geneva Motor Show next month which features an inflatable rear seat.

TRIXX is meant to highlight future innovative design and, as well as its inflatable rear seat, has a push-button roof hatch allowing it to carry extra-long objects upright, and three electric sliding doors – two on the passenger side and one on the driver side.

It is equipped with a 1.3-litre common rail diesel engine and has a fold-away front passenger seat. A rear luggage rack pulls out like a drawer and carries heavy objects or items too dirty to travel inside.

Martin Smith, Opel executive director for design, said: 'TRIXX shows our vision of an innovative, ultra-compact car.'
