MITSUBISHI will unveil its new Colt at the Geneva Motor Show next month – the first car developed under the Mitsubishi/ DaimlerChrysler alliance.

The car will be built in Europe and shares about 40% of its components with the forthcoming smart forfour.

Designed for European customers, the European Colt differs from the Japanese version with a new interior and dashboard, redesigned front end, plus different engine and transmission options, modified chassis settings and greater seating flexibility.

Petrol engines will include 1.1, 1.3 and 1.5-litres, while a 1.5-litre common rail diesel will also be offered.
