Mazda tops poll at the AM awards

CAR manufacturers, dealers and service companies have been celebrating success at the awards of Fleet News' sister publication AM.

Mazda won the Carmaker of the Year award thanks to a 36% increase in sales in 2003.

SEAT took the award for used car scheme, beating NetworkQ, Citroen and Honda, while Ford's Rapid Fit scooped the award for the best fast-fit programme.

The AM Awards rate companies by quality, service and innovation against a checklist of factors – planning and strategy, people management, operational processes and performance monitoring.
