TV CELEBRITY Noel Edmonds is backing fleet safety by promoting video conferencing as an alternative to driving on business.

Edmonds has launched a new video conferencing service called face2face which uses more than 300 national video meeting rooms.

He will be discussing occupational road safety at the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) next safety seminar at the Watford Hilton in Hertfordshire on April 21.

Roger Bibbings, occupational road safety adviser at RoSPA, said: 'It is now accepted that for the majority of people the most dangerous thing they do at work is driving. RoSPA has said for a long time that many road journeys could be avoided by using video conferencing.'
