Inchcape rises

AUTOMOTIVE services group Inchcape has announced a 55% pre-tax profits rise to more than £168 million for the year to December 2003.

Group chief executive Peter Johnson said: 'This excellent set of results has maintained our recent record of reporting profit growth and strong cash generation, and we are well placed to continue this in 2004, despite the current weakness of the US dollar.'
