MANCHESTER Airport has bought three Mitsubishi Shoguns to support its team of airfield safety officers who patrol the runways.

The long wheelbase 3.2 DI-D models were chosen for their combination of performance, four-wheel drive ability, interior space and seating flexibility.

One of the most important aspects of runway duties for the Shoguns will be to ensure aircraft can land safely, and the cars have been finished with a bright yellow roof and light bars, while the rear has been fitted with 'follow me' decals.
