AN NHS trust has become one of the first to use taxis to transport patients. Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has purchased three new LTI TXII cabs from local dealer Mann & Overton of Manchester.

The trust chose the cabs because of their accessibility for disabled users and versatility over standard cars. The cabs, in bright yellow, have been part-funded by the Women's Royal Voluntary Service and have an integral wheelchair ramp and step and swivel seat for arthritis sufferers.
