The latest appointments in the fleet industry.

  • RENTAL and leasing company TLS has made two new appointments to its sales team. Simon Pickering has been appointed sales director responsible for the south. Pickering has worked at TLS for five years and has held several customer service roles. Simon Cook has been appointed northern sales director.

  • aftersales consultancy group Forester Grant Associates has made several new appointments after taking a shareholding in Network Automotive Management. Group non-executive director Frank Lord is now interim managing director. His former positions include senior posts at Henly and Appleyard.

    Director and shareholder Peter Cameron has been appointed executive director. His former roles include fleet sales manager at Fiat Auto UK.

    Bryan Phillimore has become chairman of both Network and Forester Grant.

  • KAY Phillips has been appointed chief executive officer of GeoPost UK and Ireland. She will replace Colin Millbanks following his retirement and will be responsible for Parceline, Interlink Express Parcels and Interlink Ireland. Phillips brings more than 26 years' industry experience in managerial posts.

  • VEHICLE Rental Services (VRS) has appointed two new sales executives to cover the south and the north of England and Scotland regions. Michael Johnston becomes sales executive for the north of England. He has more than seven years' experience in the rental industry and previously held the posts of business development manager at Arriva Rental and sales manager at Northgate Motor Holdings.
    Lee Paice is sales executive for the southern region. He joins from Sixt Rent a Car and has several years' experience, including nine years as branch manger at Hertz Rent a Car.

  • ALFA Romeo has announced a new line-up across its management team. Sales director Jeff Culkin becomes marketing director, responsible for developing Alfa Romeo's retail marketing programmes.
    Mario di Maria, the new sales director, joins from Italy, where he was a senior Alfa Romeo area sales manager.
    Matthew Clarke, the group's new fleet director, brings several years' fleet industry experience and joins from Citroen. Raffaella Zapparoli has also joined the UK team to work on dealer marketing programmes with Culkin.

  • RISK management group Fleetsafe has made several appointments following a major re-organisation of the group.
    Chris Howell, founder of Fleetsafe subsidiary DriveTech, becomes chairman of the Fleetsafe group after 15 years at DriveTech. Jim Kirkwood is now managing director at DriveTech and Steve Harris has been appointed chief executive of Data Programmes, another Fleetsafe subsidiary. Kirkwood joins DriveTech from Fujitsu-Siemens Computers, where he was responsible for consumer business.
