READING Rugby Football Club has taken delivery of 35 Citroen MPVs, coinciding with the launch of its new affinity group.

The Citroen Xsara Picasso 2.0HDi Desire MPVs will be used following the club's promotion to England's National Rugby League. This is the fourth time it has chosen Citroen to replace its fleet.

The vehicles are running on a 24-month, 28,000-mile contract hire agreement with Abridge Leasing and Custom Fleet.

Dee Edwards, Reading Rugby Football Club's commercial manager, said: 'The players are all very pleased with the Xsara Picasso and we have found these vehicles to be very economical to operate, hence we were happy to specify Citroen for a fourth time.'

The rugby club's new affinity scheme enables club members to purchase Citroen vehicles at competitive rates. Team player, Danny Barrett is the first member to join the scheme.
