Business Post reorganises its fleet

PARCEL delivery group Business Post has re-organised its fleet, switching from outright purchase to contract hire.

The group changed funding methods in a bid to slash paperwork on the fleet and to improve the scheme offered to employees.

Kevin Webb, general manager for transport at Business Post, said: 'We wanted to ease the administrative burden associated with running our car fleet and give our staff a wider choice of vehicles.'

Custom Fleet is providing a four-year/120,000 mile contract hire deal for Business Post's 1,620-strong fleet.

About 80% of the fleet runs on diesel with most of the fuel bunkered at the group's depots.
