The latest appointments in the fleet industry.

  • LEX Transfleet Airside Solutions has appointed Martin Audis as operations director for London Gatwick and regional airports and Richard Yates as operations director at Heathrow.
    Prior to being promoted as operations director, Audis was responsible for maintenance and customer management at Manchester and Birmingham airports. Yates has been in the fleet industry for 15 years and joins Lex Transfleet from Qualcomm, a telematics provider.

  • FLEET, contract hire and workshop software provider cfc solutions has appointed Dale Fullerton as its new fleet accounts manager. Prior to his appointment Fullerton spent several years working in retail and fleet car sales. He also brings experience gained in the automotive refinishing sector where he was a sales consultant.

  • MICHAEL Mauer has been appointed as head of design at Porsche, replacing Harm Lagaay following his retirement. Mauer studied automobile design before working in the design area at Mercedes-Benz. He progressed to design project leader and two years later oversaw the design work for the first SLK model before becoming head of department with design responsibility for the A-Class, SLK and SL models. Additional roles completed by Mauer include, general manager at the Advance Design studio in Tokyo, and head of design at MCC Smart GmbH. In June 2000 he moved to Saab as executive director design and since March has been responsible for advanced design at General Motors Europe.

  • PAUL Whittaker and David Vickers have joined Fleet Manager as part of its sales team in the south west covering Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. Vickers has several years' experience gained in dealerships and Cornwall has industry experience gained in the technical sector.

  • BYNX Europe has appointed Paul Judge-Talbot as its new business development manager. Judge-Talbot will be responsible for managing relationships with existing clients and securing new business at Bynx. He is the former head of sales at Ark First, a specialist risk management software group, but also spent 15 years at HSBC Vehicle Finance. He has also launched a range of contract hire products for the public sector, and developed technology for business-to-business vehicle sale and finance.

  • THE Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI) has announced its new president as Colin Parlett of CB Motors. Parlett succeeds Fred Maguire of Lookers, who stands down after two years in the post. In his new role, Parlett will promote the RMI to consumers and work closely with Government both in the UK and Europe. He has more then 30 years' experience in the industry.
