More than 2,500 cyclists are killed or seriously injured every year and the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) is calling on drivers to be more responsible around riders.
Drivers should slow down around cyclists and drive smoothly, keeping within the speed limit according to the IAM. Bike Week runs from June 12 to June 20.
