MD takes office on the road

Donald Fothergill, MD of Pickerings Lifts Europe has spent thousands of pounds kiting out his new Mercedes Viano into a state of the art, home from home, office.

Leased through Godfrey Davis Contract Hire, the corporate division of Bank of Scotland Vehicle Finance, Fothergill’s Mercedes Viano is one of the first to arrive in the UK, in a year when Pickerings celebrates its 150th anniversary.

Following the interior transformation, the Viano now boasts Pioneer roof mounted screens with TV tuner, DVD player, a four handset telephone system with high speed internet access and a fax machine. The total cost of the vehicle is now £47,000.

Fothergill, who works from the company’s headquarters in Stockton on Tees said: 'I spend over 35% of my time travelling. It was therefore very important for me to tailor this vehicle to suit my specific needs. As a result of the technology which has been installed I will be able to use my time more efficiently when travelling.”
