Toyota upgrades Hiace

These replace the S and SE models. Designed to simplify the model and pricing structure, the 2.8 tonner will get more goodies as standard over the outgoing S model.

Changes include one rear tailgate door to replace two swing rear doors, a new central storage box and clipboard, power central door locking and cloth rather than vinyl seat trim.

In standard wheelbase, the model range starts at the Hiace 280 with a 88bhp 2.5-litre D-4D common rail turbo diesel at £11,985. The 280GS is available with either an 88 or 102bhp engine.

An extra £1,500 buys you a long rather than standard wheelbase model. The 300 entry grade is available at £13,485.
