A8 retune

SUPERCHIPS, the engine management system tuning firm, has extracted more power and torque out of Audi’s A8 4.0 litre V8 TDI, the world’s most powerful diesel-engined luxury car.

Reprogramming the engine control unit (ECU) has raised output from 277bhp at 3,642rpm to 316bhp at 3,546rpm – an increase of 42bhp. Torque is increased by 75lb-ft to 538lb-ft at 2,683 rpm. The conversion costs £511.13, inclusive of VAT.
