Selecta, Europe’s largest vending company and part of Compass Group, created a stringent set of criteria for vehicle choice, based around factors including reliability, running costs, load capacity and comfort.

As a result, it has taken delivery of 161 Peugeot vans – 106 Boxers and 55 Partners – with further vehicles to be supplied later in the year.

The vans will be used to carry stock to fill drink and snack vending machines, as well as maintenance equipment.

Dean Billingham, European buyer at Compass Group, said: ‘We were careful to ensure that our chosen supplier for this sector offered both cost-efficient and operational benefits to a valued ‘service critical’ division of our business.’
