The firm has moved from its traditional brown livery to silver paintwork for its owner-driver van fleet and as part of the standardisation package has organised a vital support package with its vehicle provider.

Target has agreed a low cost acquisition deal for drivers covering long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 311 CDIs.

So far, 50 vehicles have been delivered as part of the contract after a year fine-tuning the package.

Mercedes-Benz truck and van dealer Commercial Motors, (South-West) is responsible for the application of the livery, installing phone kits and ply-lining and delivering vehicles to the appropriate Target Express depot before 6.30am on the day they are due to enter service. The dealer is also contracted to hold six finished vans in stock, which can then be quickly ‘called off’ by new Target Express drivers.
