The DVLA wants your views on its plans, which revolve round four different options.

The organisation says fees must cover the costs of new policy initiatives including the replacement of the agency’s vehicle registration system, the recall of old paper driving licenses and the ten-yearly renewal cycle of photocard driving licenses.

These new initiatives will help DVLA meet its aims of better road safety from better driver and vehicle keeper identification and will help the police cut vehicle and wider crime.
