Amtrak clinches Comet delivery deal

AN increase in internet shopping has led one of the UK’s largest electrical goods suppliers to take on a new delivery fleet.

Comet has awarded a deal to Amtrak Express Parcels, which will work alongside Parcelforce and Comet’s own fleet to deliver up to 7,000 parcels a night. Nick Cox, home shopping fulfilment manager at Comet, said: ‘Expectations on deliveries are higher than ever and with web orders in particular. Amtrak is a home delivery specialist and is well set up for a fast service.’

Amtrak operates a national network of 100 depots which will distribute Comet’s goods.
