Hitachi launches flexible rental package for UK van fleets

The rental period is open-ended, with the client having the option of extending that period beyond an initial 28-day timeframe.

Vans up to 3.5 tonnes will be available with no mileage constraints. Vehicles can also be liveried and the arrangement includes a maintenance package and vehicle replacement. No initial capital outlay is required.

Jon Lawes, general manager of commercial vehicle services, said: ‘It is an ideal product for companies who have to carry out contract or project work because it effectively means they can rent the number of commercial vehicles they need over the period they need them.

‘The product is aimed at organisations which require flexibility in the size and mix of commercial vehicles. It means vehicles won’t be under-utilised and companies won’t have to deal with any early termination charges which they would normally face if they were locked into a typical contract.’
